The Death That Won't Die – How the Jeffrey Epstein Case Is Shaking the US Again in 2025! (incl. Nearly Unredacted Epstein File in the Article)

It looked like a scene from a dark thriller: three fine but distinct fractures in the neck of a man who became the face of a global abuse scandal – and whose death raised more questions than it answered. Jeffrey Epstein, convicted sex offender, millionaire, jet-setter, and facilitator of the powerful, died in August 2019 in a cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York. Official cause: suicide by hanging. Three bone fractures – two in the thyroid cartilage, one in the hyoid bone. For Baden, who worked nearly six decades in forensic pathology, one thing is clear: such injuries are extremely unusual in a suicide. In his words: "In 50 years, I have not seen a single case where such fractures resulted from hanging." To him, everything points to strangulation – to homicide.

In 2019, Baden was hired by Epstein’s brother to be present at the autopsy. Even then, he disputed the official version. But what went largely unnoticed at the time – an autopsy photo – is more than just a forensic detail. It is a piece of evidence in a story full of lies, silence, and abuse of power. The key question: why did the New York medical examiner's office so quickly rule the case a suicide – even though the initial pathologist reportedly refrained from making a final determination? Who ultimately checked the box marked “suicide”? And why? The suspicion: political pressure. In the summer of 2019, Epstein was in pretrial detention after new, nationwide charges of trafficking minors had been brought against him. He stood at the center of a network that reached deep into the elite – entrepreneurs, actors, scientists, and most of all: politicians. Names like Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, Prince Andrew, or Alan Dershowitz were associated with his flights to “Lolita Island.” The potential sentence, had he been convicted, could have amounted to 45 years in prison. But it never came to that – Epstein died before the trial could begin.

And as some may recall: the news of Epstein’s death appeared on the platform 4chan before it was officially confirmed. Add to that manipulated guard logs, broken cameras, incorrect shift records. A puzzle in which each new piece reveals not a clearer picture – but a conspiracy.

Now, in June 2025, Elon Musk has poured fuel on the fire. In a widely discussed interview, he claimed that Donald Trump is also named in the still-unreleased parts of the Epstein files. The allegation is out there – but Musk has yet to provide any proof. At the same time, it became public that a foundation linked to Peter Thiel made multi-million-dollar donations in 2018 to the New York prison where Epstein died. It also came to light that Epstein invested about $40 million between 2015 and 2016 in two funds from Valar Ventures – a venture capital firm co-founded by Thiel. This connection remained hidden for years and is now becoming a test for both journalistic and legal investigation.

Thiel is also closely aligned ideologically with Curtis Yarvin, the theorist behind “Dark Enlightenment” and a staunch opponent of democratic systems. Both advocate a technocratic-authoritarian reordering of society. In Germany, Thiel’s surveillance software “Palantir” is already in use – including in the states of Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia, Bavaria, Berlin, and Hamburg. The criticism: algorithmic surveillance under the guise of efficiency, often lacking sufficient rule-of-law oversight.

Former Labor Secretary Alex Acosta, who gave Epstein a scandalous deal in 2007, later cryptically stated that Epstein “belonged to the intelligence community.” A sentence that has haunted every investigation since like a ghost.

In 2018, Epstein served 13 months in a facility he was allowed to leave during the day to “work” from his office. A “work-release” program for a convicted child molester. Without meaningful consequences – and with legal immunity for his alleged co-conspirators.

To this day, none of them have been held accountable.

The renewed focus on Epstein shows how fragile the rule of law becomes when power, money, and sex collide. It shows how dangerous secrecy in the justice system is – and how easily the truth can vanish in a structure of influence, fear, and political cover.

Jeffrey Epstein is dead. But the shadow he casts grows longer by the day.
