Pete Hegseth actually tells people, in all seriousness, that he banned his kids from watching Fox News for a year “because they were so ungrateful.” Just picture it: a grown man who believes gratitude is measured by how often his children cheer him on while he watches a propaganda channel. And then he tops it off with his pedagogical masterpiece: “You’re meant to be seen and not heard.”
Pete Hegseth said he banned his kids from Fox News for a year “because they were so ungrateful.” Hegseth: “You’re meant to be seen and not heard.”
That should officially settle why Hegseth’s media literacy is roughly on the level of a broken toaster. Someone who tries to turn his children into silent monks because they refuse to swing incense at his daily Fox ritual does not have a parenting problem but an acute leak in reality. The man sits in his war ministry, shares responsibility for violations of international law, preaches freedom, patriotism and the great American spirit - and at home the regime is “Dad speaks, you stay quiet.”
If it were not already tragic in its irony, one could almost laugh: a man who raises his children like a bad extra in a historical dictator documentary - but as long as they learn early whom they must thank. Him. Always him, and no pills will help with that anymore …
