The Great Greed of the Little People – What Tino Chrupalla and Alice Weidel Really Earn

When people in the Bundestag rant about “those at the top,” it often comes from the right – from a party that presents itself as the defender of the common man while eagerly hiding its own privileges, painting a picture that should make even the most die-hard AfD supporters stop and think. While the Green party leadership receives a gross monthly salary of 17,750 euros – a 50 percent increase over the regular parliamentary salary of 11,833 euros – the leaders of the AfD, Alice Weidel and Tino Chrupalla, pocket the full double: a hefty 23,667 euros. Every month. Gross. Transparently and officially confirmed. That puts them at the top of the salary scale in the Bundestag – by far. And this despite the AfD constantly portraying itself as a victim of the system, the media, and the “establishment parties.” They claim to fight the establishment – yet they revel in the very privileges they denounce.

The parliamentary leaders of the SPD and the CDU/CSU offer no information about their allowances – a scandal in its own right. But at least with the Left party, we know: Heidi Reichinnek and Sören Pellmann receive nothing extra. They work for the base salary. No bonuses, no fat supplements. That alone is noteworthy – but it pales in comparison to the level of hypocrisy exposed within the AfD. Chrupalla and Weidel are getting their supposedly “patriotic” commitment to the people rewarded with more than 280,000 euros a year – all while mocking social benefits, railing against “lazy welfare recipients,” and pushing policies that mean only sacrifice for the lower 50 percent of the population.

Anyone hoping that this party “reveals what others conceal” should ask themselves: who is revealing the AfD? This graphic is a start. It is not an opinion, it is a fact. And maybe it is time for some to stop directing their anger downward – and start looking toward where the money really flows: straight to the far right at the top.
