Sometimes I sit there, read the news, and wonder if maybe it’s me. Maybe I’m the last one who missed the memo. Maybe the new reality is simply that the Health Secretary of the United States, in an official Cabinet meeting, lectures about the metaphysical connection between penile foreskin and autism - and does so with the confidence of a man who believes evolution was a misunderstanding by Big Pharma.
So am I crazy? Or is it the world?
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., heir to a great name and destroyer of what little reason remained, seriously declared that children are twice as likely to have autism if they are circumcised - because they are given Tylenol afterward. I repeat this just to make sure it’s not my brain but the planet that’s losing it: circumcised children, Tylenol, autism. Welcome to the 21st century, where science is no longer verified but googled, and the Health Secretary recycles quotes from Facebook comment sections. In the past, people said, “It’s in the Bible.” Today they say, “It was in some Danish study, I think.” Only that this study proved nothing except that pain hurts. The researchers wrote: We don’t know whether painkillers play a role. Kennedy read: Tylenol is the devil, circumcision his instrument.
I wonder: Is there a secret academy for ministers out there that teaches how to repeat pseudoscientific sentences until they sound like revelations? Or are some people simply born with the gift of saying every sentence with the confidence of a man who has never finished a book?
Am I crazy - or is it now normal that government offices are filled straight from YouTube comment sections?
I picture the scene: A country that once walked on the moon now seriously debates whether painkillers deform the soul. NASA? History. NIH? Conspiracy. Facebook? Revelation. And somewhere in between sits Kennedy with a glass of filtered spring water, talking about detox and quoting himself while scientists collectively suffer an aneurysm.
Am I crazy - or has the world simply decided to abandon logic?
I remember times when politicians at least pretended to believe in facts. Today that’s already considered a weakness. Truth is a matter of opinion, science is optional, and anything that doesn’t fit the narrative is “part of the system.” The system - that magical container where everyone lives who still thinks in straight lines. Maybe I really am the mad one. Maybe it’s madness to get upset about facts when emotion has long since become law. Perhaps it’s madness to still believe in enlightenment while entire cabinets stumble through a fog of half-knowledge, vitamin supplements, and applause narcotics.
Or maybe the world really has gone insane - and the only thing left for us to do is to document the madness before it officially declares itself normal. Because when a Health Secretary seriously throws Tylenol, autism, and circumcision into the same pot - and no one laughs because everyone’s afraid the joke might be true - then the world has already passed the punchline.
So I ask again: Am I crazy - or the world? And then I keep reading, because I have a feeling the answer will be even worse tomorrow.

Wenn du bekloppt bist, dann bin ich es auch.
Eine im Bundestag ( ich weigere mich die Namen von den Clowns zu merken) hat heute gesagt, hatte Habeck nicht die Wirtschaft ruiniert, wurden hier Flugtaxis fliegen. Jetzt flögen sie in anderen Ländern…Hah? Ich verstehe nichts mehr.
In dem Fall wäre auch ich bekloppt… aber wir sind es nicht! Sondern die Dumpfbacken im Weissen Haus! Robert F. J. Kennedy hat wenn’s hoch kommt ein Gehirn auf Erbsengrösse, wenn man es aufpumpt! Da ist also nicht viel, denn eins ist sicher, übermässiger Drogenkonsum hat sowohl körperliche als auch Hirnschädigungen zur Folge… das trifft anscheinend auch auf den Gesundheitsminister zu. Davon abgesehen hat der null Wissen über Medizin.

Mach dir keinen Kopf, die Bekloppten erobern grad die USA, und Kennedy ist eh jenseits von Gut und Böse. Ich erinnere mich an eine Studie, die davon ausgeht, dass ein Drittel der Amis Kreationisten sind, das heißt. sie glauben daran, dass die Erde vor 10000 Jahren in einem Haps geschaffen wurde.Scheiss auf jeden Art von Wissenschaft und Forschung, das war halt so. Und das in einem Land, das Mondlandungen durchgeführt hat , von Techkonzernen beherrscht wird und einige der besten Universitäten und Forschungszentren weltweit hervorgebracht hat. Da wundert es eigentlich kaum, wenn ein Irrer wie Kennedy Gesundheitsminister wird.
Daher läuft der „Freizeitpark“ mit ddm Nachbau der Arche Noah so gut.
Und im Museum nebenan wird natürlich der Kreationismus gelehrt und Wissenschaft als Lüge dargestellt.
Was soll man da noch sagen?
Ach Rainer, es muss sehr schwer ertragbar sein, die vielen Menschen so in die Irre abschweifen zu sehen. Auch ich frage mich manchmal, ob ich bekloppt bin oder nicht. Wenn ich dann in Ruhe darüber nachsinne, dass plötzlich Menschen sich mit seltsamen Gedanken äußern, die ich nie für möglich gehalten hätte, dann stelle ich häufiger fest, dass diese Menschen starke Ängste entwickelt haben. Angst kann irre machen! Das nächstliegende Narrativ mit der Gewissheit eines Heilsversprechens, ist dann der Rettungsanker zur Bekämpfung der Angst. Und dass man sich nicht selber mit Hinterfragen beschäftigen muss, ob das was so Angst auslösend ist, wirklich so ist wie behauptet. Nicht zu vergessen das stärkende Gefühl in einer großen Gruppe von Menschen, die sich gegenseitig bestärken, dass sie nicht alleine sind.
Und dann taucht auch der Religiöse Wahn wieder als Heilmittel auf. Der ist meines Erachtens vor allen Dingen gefährlich, weil diese religiösen Gruppen keinen Widerspruch oder Kritik dulden. Und sie wollen nicht dulden, dass es andere Überzeugungen gibt oder sogar Atheisten. Durch solche Machtansprüche ist immer wieder sehr viel menschliches Elend entstanden. Ich habe als Kind sehr bedrückende Erlebnisse in einem katholisch geprägten Land machen müssen – von wegen christliches Verhalten, aber nur bei Menschen von der richtigen Religion.
Wenn ich dann jetzt dieses religiöse Theater bei Trumps Anhängern sehe, wird mir schlecht. Dabei hat die amerikanische Verfassung aus guten Gründen doch eine Trennung von Staat und Kirche.
Mein Fazit für Dich und mich: Nein, wir sind nicht bekloppt. Und ja, Wissenschaft ist sehr wichtig für die Menschen, um nicht in die Irre zu laufen.
