Instead, the Speaker of the House laid bare how dependent the White House is on its majority in Congress.

Johnson expressed confidence that Republicans had a strong chance. At the same time, he outlined a clear scenario: if the majority in the House of Representatives flips, the president’s ability to push through his agenda collapses with it. A Democratic leadership could block legislation, escalate budget disputes, expand investigative committees, and drag every initiative from the White House into prolonged procedures. Trump would then be left to govern by executive order and permanent confrontation. Johnson argued that Trump needs "a full four years, not just two" to repair the country - as he framed the situation after Joe Biden. He lavishly praised the president’s speech, even though it contained numerous demonstrably false or misleading claims, and attacked Democrats as "shameful" for voicing criticism. Behind this wording lies no rhetorical flourish but the reality of parliamentary majorities. Without the House, the president lacks the legislative foundation to advance major initiatives.
The 2026 midterms thus become a turning point. Not because a president would formally remain in office or not, but because his political capacity to act depends on the arithmetic majority in Congress. Johnson said that out loud - and in doing so, he also acknowledged how fragile Trump’s power is beyond his own base.

Frenetisch wie Maga trump abgefeuert haben, würde ich bei den Midterms Wahlen eher auf die „unabhängigen“ Wähler setzen, es graust einem wie die magas einen Pädofilen Triebfeder feiert welcher 34 mal verurteilt wurde ( das ist ohne möglich misstrauen mit Freund JE )
Die Zwischenwahlen werden nicht stattfinden und wenn doch, dann nur mit gefälschten oder massiv manipulierten Ergebnissen, woran man ja bereits arbeitet, i.e. Umstrukturierung der Wahlbezirke, Passpflicht, Wahlpropaganda wie diese von Mike Johnson, Einschüchterungen, Torpedierung der Briefwahl, ICE- oder Militär-Einsätze… es werden ihnen schon ausreichend Maßnahmen einfallen. Und da sich bei den Republikanern offenbar viele nicht an die Verfassung oder das Gesetz gebunden fühlen werden sie auch Erfolg haben damit. Das perfide ist: Im Prinzip gibt er damit ja zu, dass die Regierung gegen das Volk arbeitet.
Die MAGA feiern Trump nach der Rede noch mehr.
Auch wegen der Angriffe auf Demokraten und Richter.
Wegen der Quasi-Aushebelung des Filibuster.
Korruption, gestiegene Preise, Etc blenden sie aus.
Die Sektengehirnwäsche funktioniert.
Und mit dem Dekret zu künftigen Wahlen schließt Trump ganz bewusst Gruppen aus, die eher demokratisch wählen würden.
Aber aufgrund der kurzen Zeit keine gültigen Dokumente mehr beschaffen können.
So kann man auch eine Wahl manipulieren, ohne dass die Meisten es als Manipulation ansehen.
Aber, die Ausgestaltung der Wahlen liegt doch bei den Bundesstaaten, soweit ich weiß.
Wie ist das vereinbar?
Dann noch ICE zur Einschüchterung um die Wahllokale.
Und perfekt ist die Verschiebung zu eigenen Gunsten.
Und leider, leider sind die Demokraten nichg geeint.
Es gibt keine starke Führungsperson.
Jeder kocht irgendwie sein eigenes Stephen.
