The Donfather – An Offer That Humanity Shouldn’t Be Able to Refuse

Washington – When Donald Trump speaks, it often sounds as if Vito Corleone himself were running the American state – only without charm, logic, or respect for reality. “The Donfather” rules over an empire of fear, Fox News, and gilded doorframes. He distributes loyalty like family shares – those who nod stay, those who doubt disappear. And while he declares himself the guardian of “law and order,” his America is turning more and more into a poorly run mafia family at taxpayer expense.

In the ballroom of the White House – a future hall of gold and grandiosity – laws will soon be celebrated like trophies. ICE agents stand in formation as if they were the Don’s bodyguards. The stage resembles an altar of hardness: in Texas migrants are arrested, in Chicago teachers deported, in California gardeners dragged away in hospital corridors. It is the Donfather’s pride – his “family business” that knows no boundaries. Deportations are his trade, SNAP cuts of 100% his revenge, and every “Make America Great Again” now sounds like the code of a syndicate.

When judges in Boston, Rhode Island forced the administration to pay out food assistance to millions in need, Trump spoke of “liquidity.” “Our country has to remain very liquid – catastrophes, wars, anything can happen,” he said. Translated, that means: cut bread to pay for Trump’s lavish parties. Because while families in Detroit and Mississippi empty their refrigerators, the Donfather just transferred 20 billion dollars to Argentina – a deal as murky as his tax returns, but shiny enough to earn applause in Mar-a-Lago.

And somewhere between SNAP, ICE, and Venezuela, the essence of this rule reveals itself – a man who sees poverty as weakness, compassion as betrayal, and power as private property. In Caracas his drones threaten, in Louisiana women in custody lost their unborn children, and in Washington he celebrates himself for having “created order.” Order – in the Donfather’s sense – means the absence of dissent. Meanwhile, his confidants rehearse loyalty. Pete Hegseth, war minister by the grace of God and against all reason, dismisses generals as if they were unreliable capos. Steve Bannon warns that “some in this room are going to prison, myself included” – a confession that sounds more like a family council than a cabinet meeting. And at the top stands the Donfather, the golden idol with the sleepwalking expression that has already become an icon.

The America of the Donfather is no longer a state but a club with a golden entry ticket, a house band from Fox News, and bouncers who prefer to check Bible verses instead of IDs. A country that treats refugees like intruders and the needy like enemies. A country that has turned away from compassion as if it were an outdated contract. Yet the stage remains golden. In the Oval Office, the light glints on the seashell ornaments while the protests outside grow louder. It is the perfect set for the Donfather – a man who believes the world is his film and directs it as if it were his confession. Only no one is laughing anymore – except those standing at the buffet while others go hungry.

This is what the Donfather’s family looks like: ICE as the enforcer, SNAP as the bargaining chip, Venezuela as the territory, Argentina as the promissory note. A clan of men who negotiate poverty like oil prices. And somewhere between all that shine and greed, he sits on his golden chair, nods lazily or sleeps – and calls it “Beautiful.”Beautiful„.

Einfach unbegreiflich.
