Stone Age Drama - Trump Freaks Out Over Scratch in the Rose Garden

Donald Trump has struck again - this time not on the campaign trail but with the full force of his outrage aimed at a freshly laid stone slab. The 79-year-old president discovered a "huge gash" in the limestone of the White House Rose Garden and turned the scene into a live drama that even Netflix could not have scripted better. On Truth Social, Trump posted a furious tirade along with security footage. "It was deep and nasty!" he thundered. "I started yelling: Who did this?!" - and added that he had, of course, not said this in a nice tone. He compared the stones of the Rose Garden to his "GREAT Buildings" and praised his own choice of "limestone plus," as if he had personally unearthed the pyramids of Giza.

The security cameras finally revealed the "stupid people," as Trump called them - two workers with a wobbly plant cart and a boss wearing sunglasses. For Trump, the case was clear: pure stupidity. "I will replace the stone, charge the contractor, and never let him work at the White House again," he raged. The video that Trump proudly attached shows a cart briefly slipping off the paving, getting stuck, and then being lifted back out before they continue pushing it. For normal people, an everyday scene. For Trump, apparently a crime against humanity - or at least against his sense of surface aesthetics. "But how great is the video equipment?" he cheered at the end and celebrated his investigative triumph: "We caught them cold."

That the renovation is actually a "restoration" and was praised by a White House official as a measure to preserve history was lost in Trump's excitement. Instead, the impression remained that the president spends more time with stones than with state affairs - and that he now finds his greatest triumphs in 40-second clips. A nation wonders: if a scratch in the Rose Garden is already a state affair - what happens if someone accidentally steps on the lawn?

Trump halt. Keinen Finger würde ich für den rühren.
