There are reality shows so absurd that they seem as if they were not produced for humans at all. The Kaizen Blog had one such Joyn experience: Forsthaus Rampensau. Anyone who watches this show does not simply see a group of hyperactive self-promoters in the woods - they see a research project in which the test subjects have forgotten that they are test subjects. Imagine a UFO landing in Austria. The aliens say, "Take us to your leaders." And someone turns on Forsthaus Rampensau. "Watch this first, then we will talk."
And then it begins: In Forsthaus Rampensau, people behave as if the future of humanity depended on who can scream the loudest and argue the most embarrassingly in the forest. There is bickering, whining, yelling as if chaos itself were the prize. Somewhere in between, a pig sits around looking as if to say, "It's not my fault, I just live here." The pig is, as always, the most reasonable being in the entire format. Forsthaus Rampensau is a mixture of reality TV, survival overconfidence, and a barroom table fueled by energy drinks. A place where people are supposed to "just be themselves" - and precisely for that reason completely lose control. The nature around them feels like the only adult character.
If aliens truly wanted to understand how parts of our species ticked, they would not go to a parliament. They would binge-watch Forsthaus Rampensau and say, "Aha. Humanity is an outdoor drama with Wi-Fi." And after one season the decision would be clear: Not "Contact Earth." But "Observe - but certainly from a distance."
