The context: an alleged conversation with Vladimir Putin. Trump tells his donors he "looked Putin straight in the eye" and warned him not to invade Ukraine – or he would "bomb the shit out of Moscow." Putin didn’t believe him, but Trump adds: "Ten percent is enough." He claims Chinese President Xi Jinping received a similar message: If China invaded Taiwan, Trump would "level Beijing." In both cases, Trump insists, "ten percent belief" was sufficient.
