Trump 007 - under the ballroom the military is building something, what exactly, he does not say!

Donald Trump mentioned these days that the military is building a large facility under a ballroom. They are well on schedule, even ahead. Then he fell silent. No location, no purpose, no context - just the sentence, thrown out like a secret that does not want to be one, or one that absolutely wants to remain one. One knows this from films. The man in the suit points to a map, says the minimum and leaves the room. What follows is music. Here, nothing followed.

Military infrastructure of this scale is normally explained - at least in basic terms, at least enough to know in which direction one should be concerned. Trump described the construction progress as a success, which is hard to assess if one does not know what is being built. Why a military facility is being constructed under a ballroom of all places, and why this is mentioned in passing as if it were a weather forecast - open. Everything open. There are presidents who explain too much. Trump explains too little, and does so with a matter of course that would almost be elegant if it did not so consistently undermine any notion of transparency. A ballroom is a place for receptions, speeches, gala evenings - not an obvious location for military underground construction. That no one in the room asked questions says almost as much as the statement itself.

Maybe it is routine. Maybe it is more. One does not know, because Trump did not say it, and because there was no one in the room who could have demanded an answer. Under the ballroom construction is underway. The president is satisfied. Please remove your dancing shoes.

Trump: negotiating and then having to attack them again!

Donald Trump speaks of a “great day in Iran” and explains that many long sought targets have been destroyed. He gives no details. At the same time, oil prices continue to rise. Brent is now over 116 dollars per barrel, more than 50 percent above the level at the beginning of the war at the end of February. While markets react, the attacks are already affecting supply. In Kuwait, a worker was killed in an attack on a power and desalination plant. These facilities are crucial for water supply in the region. Despite damage, authorities report that electricity and water continue to function.

Trump goes even further and openly raises the possibility that the United States could take the Iranian island of Kharg. The country’s most important oil terminal is located there. He says the island could be taken very easily, but admits that one would then have to stay longer. The United States has already attacked targets there from the air. At the same time, Trump speaks of negotiations with Tehran. He says direct and indirect talks are taking place and are going very well. Iran has largely agreed to a plan and is currently allowing tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. Trump attributes this to decisions by Speaker of Parliament Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf and describes it as a sign of respect.

In the same context comes the sentence that defines the situation: one is negotiating with Iran and then has to attack them again afterward. These statements stand side by side. Military escalation, economic pressure and talks are taking place at the same time. A clear direction is not visible, the situation remains open and tense.

413,793 KitKat missing - 12 tons of chocolate simply gone

A shipment disappears, and with it more than 400,000 KitKat bars. Around 12 tons of chocolate have been lost on the way from Italy to Poland. The vehicle has not been found to this day. The goods were intended for the European market. Instead of ending up in supermarkets, they could now appear in unofficial channels. Nestlé itself warns of exactly that. Every single bar can be traced via batch codes. Retailers and customers can check whether a product comes from this shipment. If in doubt, the find should be reported.

The case shows a problem that is growing. Cargo theft along transport routes is increasing. Companies speak of ever more professional methods. What stands out is the volume. This is not a small theft, but a targeted access to an entire shipment. Planning, timing and logistics must have been precise. Nestlé is reacting unusually openly. The company is going public and making the case known. This too is a signal that such incidents are no longer exceptions. In the end, one simple question remains. If entire truckloads can disappear, how secure are supply chains really anymore.

Open rather than covert - Trump’s circle operates in Greenland and triggers alarm in Denmark

“Donald Trump has drawn a new strategic map - from Greenland to the Gulf of America - and calls it Greater North America.”

Three men from the circle around Donald Trump are in the focus of Danish security authorities. The accusation: influence operations in Greenland. Yet little is hidden here. The activities take place visibly, with interviews, travel and public appearances. Drew Horn, formerly with the US Department of Energy, is pushing projects related to raw materials and energy. He is working on plans for data centers and infrastructure that are intended to rely long term on energy from glacier melt. At the same time, he openly speaks about billion dollar investments and economic opportunities. Thomas Dans, now chairman of the US Arctic Research Commission, organizes contacts and travel. Donald Trump Jr. was also brought to Nuuk by him. His work moves between politics and business, without a clear separation. Chris Cox, known from Bikers for Trump, travels through Greenland, builds contacts and openly promotes closer ties to the United States. He too is under observation by authorities.

In Denmark, this is causing unrest. The government has already responded with diplomatic steps. The accusation is not a covert operation, but targeted influence by individuals with direct access to power in Washington. Those involved reject this. They speak of open projects and economic cooperation. At the same time, they indirectly confirm that they are being observed. In the background, more is at stake. Greenland is strategically important, because of resources, location and military relevance. Trump has emphasized this repeatedly and has never abandoned his interest.

At the same time, concrete projects are emerging. Investments, resource deals, infrastructure plans. In addition, political contacts and individual voices on the ground advocating closer ties to the United States. The line between business and politics is blurring. That is exactly what makes the case sensitive. It is not a classic intelligence case. It is influence that is organized openly. For Denmark, the question remains how far this is allowed to go. For Greenland, who ultimately decides its future.

New US missile hits gymnasium and school - civilian targets on the first day of the war

On February 28, the first day of the war, a new US missile strikes Lamerd in southern Iran. A gymnasium, an elementary school and a nearby residential area are hit. At least 21 people are killed, many are injured. Analyses of video footage and damage patterns indicate the use of the Precision Strike Missile, known as PrSM. A weapon that had not previously been used in combat. It detonates above the target and disperses metal fragments at high speed.

A camera recorded the explosion above the gymnasium

This exact damage pattern is visible on site. The affected gymnasium was used by a women’s volleyball team. The school was regularly attended by children. Both facilities have for years been publicly identifiable as civilian locations and are structurally separated from the neighboring military complex. Whether that military site was the actual target remains unclear. It is also open whether this was an error, a problem in target selection or the effect of the new weapon. At the same time, civilian facilities were also hit in other locations.

In Minab, 175 people died on the same day after another attack on a school. The US side confirms the use of the new missile, but does not comment specifically on the strike. Reports are being reviewed. At the same time, it is stated that civilian targets are not intentionally attacked. The missile used was only recently developed and tested. Its use in war is considered a premiere. This makes visible a risk that goes beyond the individual strike. In the end there are destroyed buildings, dead civilians and an open question. When new weapons are used for the first time, who bears responsibility for what they cause.

Washington meets Moscow - meeting in the US Congress prepared behind closed doors

For the first time in decades, members of the Russian State Duma meet with members of the US Congress. The meeting was organized by Republican congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna. Five US lawmakers and five Russian parliamentarians speak about relations, talks and economic opportunities. The Russian delegation includes high level names. Boris Chernyshov, Anatoly Antonov, Vyacheslav Nikonov, Svetlana Zhurova and Mikhail Delyagin. On the American side, among others, Andy Ogles, Derrick Van Orden, Eli Crane and Vicente Gonzalez are involved.

The preparation took place over months in the background. According to Delyagin, deliberately without public attention in order to avoid disruption. Some participants were temporarily removed from sanctions lists to make the trip possible. Substantively, it was not only about general topics. Ukraine and Iran were addressed, as well as visas, technology, investments and direct flight connections. A possible “friendship group” in Congress was also discussed. The meetings took place in Washington, including at the US Institute of Peace and in the residence of the Russian ambassador. There were also meetings with analysts and a tour of the Capitol.

The timing is striking. Official talks on the Ukraine war are currently on hold. At the same time, new contacts are taking place in the background. In the end, there is an image that is not loudly communicated. Talks are taking place while the major conflicts continue.

Rubio contradicts Zelenskyy - dispute over Donbas demand and US security guarantees

An open conflict has emerged between Washington and Kyiv over the content of ongoing talks. Secretary of State Marco Rubio rejects the account of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy that the United States had linked security guarantees to the ceding of the Donbas. Rubio calls this statement false and emphasizes that the US had only conveyed Moscow’s position to Ukraine, not its own conditions. This, however, contradicts many statements and investigations. Zelenskyy had previously stated that exactly this linkage was part of a possible deal intended to enable a ceasefire. In the background is the attempt by the US administration to create movement in the stalled Ukraine conflict in parallel with the war against Iran.

Russia continues to demand full control over the Donbas, large parts of the region are already occupied, but key sections remain heavily fortified and contested. Rubio makes clear that the decision lies solely with Ukraine and that Washington is not imposing conditions. At the same time, it becomes clear how tense the situation is. Talks most recently took place in Florida, further meetings are not scheduled. Militarily, pressure is also increasing. Patriot systems could become scarcer because resources are being shifted to the Middle East. In Kyiv, concern is growing that US priorities are shifting.
