Four Paws in the Finish Area - Dog Sprints at the Olympics in Tesero!
In the middle of the women’s team sprint at the Milan-Cortina Winter Games, another “participant” suddenly entered the course. As the athletes pushed themselves in the finish area in Tesero, a dog appeared, ran down the straightaway, and effortlessly kept pace with the field. It was neither impressed by course markings nor by cameras. The crowd reacted with laughter and applause, the skiers stayed focused and carried on with their race as if a four-legged companion were part of the program. Only beyond the finish line did helpers intervene and bring the animal under control. It later turned out that it had broken free from its owner during a walk. Of all days, Johannes Høsflot Klæbo made history on the same course and won his tenth Olympic gold, the fifth at these Games. Between record run and medal chase, one image remained that needed no medal: a dog that simply ran along for a few seconds.
Difficult Talks in Geneva - No Breakthrough Between Moscow and Kyiv

The latest round of talks mediated by the United States between representatives from Moscow and Kyiv ended in Geneva without any visible breakthrough. Both sides speak of difficult but factual negotiations as the fourth anniversary of Russia’s attack on Ukraine approaches. It was already the third direct round this year after meetings in Abu Dhabi, which were described as constructive but brought no decisive progress. Expectations in Switzerland were also low. Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke after a phone call with his negotiating team of a far from easy situation. Politically, the fronts remain hardened, especially with regard to the territories in eastern Ukraine occupied by Russia, which Moscow seeks to secure permanently. Zelenskyy once again accuses Russia of playing for time while military operations continue. Nevertheless, there is said to be movement on military questions, particularly regarding the possible monitoring of a future ceasefire in which the United States is expected to be involved.
The Russian head of delegation, Vladimir Medinsky, described the talks as difficult but businesslike. The Kremlin says it is too early to evaluate the results. Further meetings are planned. While diplomats negotiate in conference rooms, fighting continues along the roughly 1,250 kilometer front line. Shortly after the first day of talks, Russian drones struck residential areas in Zaporizhzhia, a woman was killed, children were injured. During the night, rocket and drone attacks followed.
Europe is also at the table. Representatives from the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland were involved in Geneva. For Zelenskyy, Europe’s participation is indispensable, as the security of the continent is directly affected. On substance, the positions remain far apart. Kyiv offers a ceasefire and direct talks with Vladimir Putin. Moscow initially demands a comprehensive agreement. Putin’s conditions include Ukraine renouncing NATO membership, a significant reduction of the Ukrainian armed forces, and a special status for Russian language and culture. In addition, the Kremlin demands the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from four partially occupied regions. Zelenskyy counters that Ukraine will not cede any territory.
Ready by Saturday - Washington Faces Decision on a Strike Against Iran

The situation is no longer hypothetical. Senior security advisers have informed Donald Trump that, as things stand, the US military could be ready for strikes against Iran as early as this weekend, possibly as soon as Saturday. This assessment turns a strategic option into a concrete time window. The president has not yet made a final decision, but the military machine is in motion. In recent weeks, the American presence in the Middle East has been massively reinforced. Two carrier strike groups are operating or moving toward the area of operations. The aircraft carrier Gerald R. Ford, most recently deployed in the Caribbean, is heading toward the Mediterranean to join the Abraham Lincoln. They are accompanied by destroyers, cruisers, and submarines. More than 50 additional fighter jets have been deployed to the region. Dozens of tanker aircraft secure the range for a prolonged air campaign. Long-range bombers are on heightened alert.
At the same time, air defense systems such as Patriot and THAAD have been moved forward to protect American bases, troops, and allies against possible Iranian retaliation. Only a few weeks ago, the military starting position was considered insufficiently prepared for a major escalation. The picture is now different. A military official said internally that troops and facilities could at least be secured for a limited campaign. Whether the US is also prepared for a longer conflict remains open. Possible targets include Iran’s nuclear program, missile positions and launch facilities, as well as installations of the Revolutionary Guard. Trump has repeatedly demanded that Iran completely end uranium enrichment. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been pressing for weeks for decisive action to weaken Iran’s ability to launch missile attacks on Israel. In Israel, preparations are underway for the case of a joint operation. The security cabinet has been rescheduled at short notice.
At the same time, indirect talks are taking place. Representatives of both sides met in Geneva. Tehran asked for two weeks to present concrete proposals. American officials speak of progress but emphasize that significant differences remain. Many within the administration doubt that a diplomatic solution can be reached in the short term. Another strike would come only months after the last major military action. After last year’s strikes, Trump declared that Iran’s nuclear program had been eliminated. Now the question arises again whether military means are necessary to achieve that goal. At the same time, the risk of a massive Iranian response is growing. Missile attacks on Israel or on US bases in the region are considered a likely scenario in the event of escalation.
For a president who promised during the campaign to keep the United States out of new wars, the decision is politically sensitive. A strike against Iran could be presented as the enforcement of red lines. It could just as easily trigger a broader conflict whose duration and costs are hardly calculable. The time window until Saturday increases the pressure. Diplomacy and military option are running in parallel. In the end, the decision lies solely in the Oval Office.
50 New Rocket Launchers Before Party Congress - Kim Jong Un Tightens Course Against Seoul

North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un has announced the deployment of 50 new carrier vehicles for nuclear-capable short-range missiles. The vehicles are designed for 600 millimeter multiple rocket launchers, systems that technically lie between classical artillery and short-range ballistic missiles. They generate their own propulsion, are guided during flight, and are designed to overwhelm missile defense systems in South Korea. The presentation took place just days before an important party congress of the Workers’ Party. State media showed rows of launch vehicles in front of the April 25 House of Culture, a symbolic site of previous party congresses. Kim spoke of “wonderful” rocket launchers with artificial intelligence and modern targeting. The term “strategic mission” was used several times, an indication of nuclear deployment options.

The upcoming party congress is to enshrine new plans to strengthen the nuclear-armed forces. Already now, Pyongyang possesses an arsenal that can reach not only South Korea and Japan but potentially also the American mainland. Since the failure of talks with the United States in 2019, North Korea has frozen nearly all channels of cooperation with Seoul. The leadership now openly speaks of a hostile two-state system on the Korean Peninsula.
At the same time, Pyongyang is sharpening its tone in the dispute over alleged drone flights from the South. Kim Yo Jong, sister of the ruler and central foreign policy voice, described an apology by the South Korean unification minister as “reasonable but insufficient.” At the same time, she announced that border surveillance would be intensified and that any renewed incidents would be met with force. Seoul denies state drone flights at the times mentioned but is examining allegations against civilians from border regions. A 2018 military agreement on de-escalation is on hold. While in the South there is talk of revival, the North is relying on deterrence through rearmament.
Cokebreak Mountain - When the Health Secretary Steps Into Ice in Jeans
There are political programs, there are reform packages - and then there is a 72 year old health secretary stepping into an ice bath in wet jeans while Kid Rock does push-ups next to him and “Bawitdaba” blares from the speakers. Welcome to 2026, where health policy looks like casting for a late season of “Jackass meets Agriculture Committee.” Robert F. Kennedy Jr., official guardian of American public health, said he wanted to send two simple messages: “Move” and “Eat real food.” What we got is a 90 second manifesto for denim wellness and whole milk masculinity. The man takes off his shirt but consistently keeps the jeans. While others ask how to combat obesity, diabetes, and mental illness, the secretary demonstrates that the true enemy apparently is elastane in sweatpants.

“Yes, this madness is real - 2026. a year when apparently nothing is impossible anymore”
The clip begins with a stuffed bear. Why not. If you are going to practice politics with symbolic power, then please with a trophy in the background. Dumbbells, sit-ups, sauna press-ups, and an ice bath follow, which probably has seen more budget funds than some prevention programs. Kennedy holds Kid Rock’s feet, Kid Rock extends his middle finger to the camera, both drink whole milk at the end like two pubescent quarterbacks after the home game. Whole milk. That is the real star. While the Department of Agriculture triumphantly proclaims “Whole milk is back,” the health discourse is reduced to fat content. Decades of debate about nutrition, sugar, food industry - all foamed away with a glass of white symbolism. Barack Obama restricted whole milk in schools, Donald Trump signs the comeback. And RFK Jr. delivers the fitness opera to match.
Kid Rock, once ambassador for whiskey and flying objects, now apparently co-lecturer in “Raw Food and Rebellion,” pedals in the sauna room while Kennedy dips into ice water. The whole thing looks like an application video for the position of national mascot for testosterone. Except that here the health secretary is sitting - pardon, pedaling. One has to imagine it: while hospitals complain about staff shortages, while the opioid crisis continues to burn, while vaccination programs are politicized, the department effectively releases a music video. No numbers, no strategy, no legislative proposal - but biceps, jeans, and a glass of milk in the pool.
Of course one can say: movement is good. Real food makes sense. But when political communication degenerates into a fitness reel, when complex health issues are poured into a mixture of ice bathing and rock sound, prevention turns into performance. And responsibility into a viral clip. In the end, two men stand in the water, clink glasses of whole milk, and look satisfied into the camera. The message seems clear: America is to become healthier - preferably shirtless, in jeans, and accompanied by a soundtrack once meant for bar stools. Maybe this is the new health reform. Less paper, more pool. Fewer studies, more ice. And if politics does not work out, there is always the option of becoming a fitness influencer in the cabinet.
Camp Next to Cheerleading - ICE Buys Halls, and Even Trump Voters Step Back

In Surprise, Arizona, a cheerleading hall stands directly next to an industrial building that the federal government recently purchased. Up to 1,500 people are to be detained there in the future. Stacy Bradley, co-owner of the studio and voter of Donald Trump, supports his border policy and speaks of restored order. But the thought that children as young as three will train next to a deportation camp makes her uneasy. She fears breakouts, protests, and images of shackled people right outside the door. Surprise is not an isolated case. In several states, the agency is acquiring or planning industrial halls to create additional detention capacity. In total, tens of thousands of new beds are to be created, with a long-term goal of at least 100,000 places. Currently around 68,000 people are in custody. The new locations range from Georgia to Texas to Pennsylvania. Some projects have already been implemented, others face resistance or have collapsed after sellers backed out under public pressure.
Criticism does not come only from liberal cities. Skepticism is also growing in communities with clear Trump majorities. Citizens worry about water and sewage systems, emergency services, and declining tax revenues, since the federal government generally does not pay local property taxes. In Social Circle, Georgia, where more than 70 percent voted for Trump, according to city administration the majority of residents oppose the planned large camp with up to 8,500 places. The town has only two police officers per shift and two small hospitals twenty minutes away. The federal government argues with efficiency and jobs. The halls would be converted, medical care and food provided, overcrowding avoided. At the same time, existing facilities already report overloaded intake rooms and security problems. Many local officials see hardly any legal means to stop the federal government, since it is often not bound by municipal building and zoning rules. Some nevertheless try with moratoria or legal reviews.
The confrontation shows a conflict situation that goes beyond party lines. Many citizens support stricter immigration policy but do not want detention centers in their own neighborhood. Between political approval and concrete proximity, a gap emerges. The question is not only how many people are to be detained, but where - and at what cost to the communities.
🚑 🚑 🚑 “Child and People Eaters” in Front of the Chancellor’s Office - Xavier Naidoo Revives Old Conspiracy Imagery
“Xavier Naidoo is and Xavier Naidoo is not. The one who repented in 2022 was someone else – or was it the same man? He writes these words and does not recognize himself in them. There is a Xavier who sings, one who lies, one who believes he has repented. They all live within him like separate cities. One says, ‘I was blinded.’ Another says, ‘No, I was always awake.’ A third remains silent and steps in front of the Chancellery. He watches them all and cannot tell which one he is. Perhaps he is only the spectator of his own contradictions, a man watching as Xavier Naidoo lives his life – or several lives at once. Who is speaking here? He no longer knows.” (Editor’s note)
Xavier Naidoo once again spread serious conspiracy claims at a demonstration in front of the Federal Chancellery. Referring to published Epstein documents, he spoke of “child eaters” and claimed it was not about ordinary human trafficking, but that “our babies are being eaten.” He also said he could not live alongside “child eaters,” and put forward the claim that all people have unknowingly already eaten human flesh.
The wording is not new. It draws on imagery that has circulated in antisemitic conspiracy narratives for centuries. The Baden-Wuerttemberg Commissioner Against Antisemitism, Michael Blume, warned that part of Naidoo’s followers would understand such terms in the context of his earlier statements as anti-Jewish code. In the past, Naidoo used formulations such as “Tothschild” and referred to motifs from the QAnon environment, including the claim that children are drained of blood in satanic rituals. In 2022, the singer publicly distanced himself from extremist positions and stated that he had been blinded by conspiracy narratives. He then withdrew from major stages. In December he returned with a sold-out concert in Cologne, and at the end of January released a new single.
The organizers of the demonstration “Stop Sexual Violence Against Children” distanced themselves from his appearance afterward. They said they had not intended any political appropriation. At the same time, two proceedings for incitement of hatred are pending against Naidoo at the Mannheim Regional Court. The cases concern content with Holocaust-denying and antisemitic character that was allegedly distributed via a Telegram channel. Whether a main trial will be opened remains unclear.

Trump tickt anders. Er will Deals.
Letztlich ist vieles für ihn nur ein Grund um zu drohen und mit Kushner 🤬 und Iranis über was auch immer zu verhandeln.
Egal, was passiert.
..ja, sollen sie ruhig dort eröffnen, dann sehen maga leute einmal, was dort abgeht
Xavier Nadoo hätte unter dem Stein bleiben sollen, unter dem er sich versteckt hatte.
Der Typ ist einfach bur 🤮🤬🤮🤬
…ein armer kleines männchen…. wo der weg keiner mehr sein wird
