Trump has a threat ready for the American officer. For his political ally from Brazil, there's a plane and a special entry permit. The case had been referred to the Justice Department for consideration of possible legal action. Whether Sylvia actually leaked secrets remains unresolved. He then left Brazil even though the federal police had demanded that he surrender his passports because of ongoing investigations. Bolsonaro is under investigation in several matters. No criminal charges have been filed against him so far. Argentina's immigration authorities confirmed that they entered the country at 10:50 p.m. Brazil's federal police, however, found no official record of his departure. Argentina's federal police also initially had no corresponding entry on file. Brazilian authorities are now investigating the circumstances under which Bolsonaro failed to comply with the court order. Police also emphasized that the travel restrictions did not automatically make him a fugitive under the law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miller declined to comment on his involvement. The decisive logistical advantage apparently came down to having some very influential friends within reach in Washington.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

U.S. border agents allowed Bolsonaro and his family to enter the country upon arrival. They received a temporary special entry permit, normally granted for urgent humanitarian reasons or significant public benefit. American government officials confirmed that Trump had personally ordered their admission. The president himself said, \"We gave him a pass to come into the country.\" He later played down his involvement and insisted he would not interfere. The Department of Homeland Security said the family had been inspected in accordance with applicable regulations and subsequently released. Independent international observers confirmed that the election had been conducted properly. The disputed change in voting hours affected just 0.03 percent of the votes. Lula won by a margin of 4.4 million votes. Numerous countries recognized the result. The United States and Argentina were initially not among them.
