And just this week, we saw another major decision: Elon Musk and his agency, DOGE, were found to have acted unconstitutionally when they \u2013 as Musk himself put it \u2013 ran USAID \u2018through the shredder.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Showdown with the Justice Department<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eisen\u2019s pointed remarks come at a critical moment: The Department of Justice is under pressure to provide a federal judge with detailed information regarding deportation flights to Venezuela. The case has gained nationwide attention, especially after Trump openly called for Judge James Boasberg\u2019s impeachment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yet Eisen remains unfazed by the former president\u2019s threats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe bottom line is: They\u2019re losing in court. And I have no doubt that Judge Boasberg \u2013 whom I\u2019ve known for three decades \u2013 will impose consequences. And he should.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eisen\u2019s confidence stands in stark contrast to ongoing efforts by Trump\u2019s allies to curtail the power of federal courts.
