The Senate passed the bill to reopen the government on Monday night. President Donald Trump called it a \u201cvery big victory,\u201d and approval in the Republican-controlled House is considered certain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaker Mike Johnson summoned lawmakers back to Washington after 43 days of paralysis and almost eight weeks of recess. The decline is particularly steep among Republicans, whose approval fell from 81 to 68 percent. Many blame the president for the weeks-long shutdown that left hundreds of thousands without pay.
