Donald Trump\u2019s so-called \u201cbig, beautiful bill,\u201d recently passed by the House of Representatives with the narrowest majority, is far more than a tax reform. It is an ideologically driven assault on the social fabric of the United States. A calculated redistribution mechanism from the bottom up. And a monumental debt program that will leave nothing but emptiness for future generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Financing Through Debt \u2013 and the Abandonment of Decency<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The central question arises quickly: How is this mammoth project to be financed? The answer is as simple as it is revealing: Through new debt. A full 3.3 trillion US dollars will this bill add to the federal deficit over the next ten years, according to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) \u2013 despite massive cuts to social programs. Savings come from Medicaid, SNAP, and the like \u2013 in other words, from those who already have little. But the freed-up funds do not flow into education, infrastructure, or debt reduction, but into tax advantages for the wealthy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s as if you snatched the life jacket from the drowning to buy a new crate of champagne for the yacht owner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This policy is not just morally questionable \u2013 it is economically dangerous. Because it:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Drives up interest rates in the long term,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Damages trust in the U.S. government's fiscal governance,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On top of that come new write-offs, advantages on capital gains, and tax loopholes for large investors and the super-rich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s the classic \u201ctrickle-down\u201d model, disguised as salvation since Ronald Reagan \u2013 and yet it never delivered what it promised. Because the money doesn\u2019t trickle down \u2013 it stays at the top. It accumulates in funds, in trusts, in holdings \u2013 far from those who really need it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A Law Against Reality<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What makes this law especially cynical: It completely ignores the current social situation. In a country,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
in which poverty is rising again,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
hospitals are overcrowded,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
rents are soaring and<\/p>\n\n\n\n
food is barely affordable for millions,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Needy families get less food assistance so the wealthy can deduct their yachts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Trump Welfare State \u2013 A Farce with Political Calculus<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What Trump is enforcing here is not an unintended side effect. It is strategy. The \u201cTrump welfare state\u201d follows a simple principle:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And anyone who questions that is publicly defamed.
